I would like to get involved on stage - can I join you?
Yes of course! We always welcome and love having new people join us.
Do I need to have done anything on stage before to be able to participate?
Nope - not at all!
My child would like to join the pantomimes - how old do they have to be to join?
Your child must be aged 8 or above to join us in the pantomime.
When do you hold auditions and where are they advertised?
Our pantomime auditions are normally held in September and if we are doing a summer show, it depends, so make sure to keep an eye either on our website under the upcoming productions page or on our Facebook and Instagram.
Do I need to prepare anything for the auditions?
This does vary but when we announce auditions, it will be listed whether anything needs to be prepared beforehand.
Do I have to pay to join?
Yes, we ask a show fee of all participants although we try and keep this as low as possible. The fee goes towards the costs of costumes, any set hires etc.
How often do you rehearse?
Our chorus rehearsals are on a Sunday 2pm-4pm, and principals rehearse on a Tuesday and Thursday 7pm-9pm (Approx). Then there will be additional rehearsals closer to show dates.
Where do you rehearse?
We traditionally rehearse at the Swanage Musical Theatre Company's rehearsal hall in Swanage.
I want to help, but I don't want to be on stage?
That's not a problem! We always need help behind the scenes as this is an incredibly important role! Both in the lead up to our shows and during performance nights!
